Day after day we see so many people suffering from diseases or unwelcomed symptoms that are diet and lifestyle related – family, friends, acquaintances, etc. With this blog, we hope to give you some tools and inspiration, so you can get healthy too. We know, first hand, how hard it can be to make changes for the better.
This blog is about defeating morbid obesity with a whole-foods vegan diet. We plan to share our experiences and everything we learn along the way.
Why We Write This Blog
After years of trying almost every diet on the planet, without lasting results, we were frustrated. This frustration led us to learn everything we could about weight loss and how the body works. Through our research, we eventually came to learn about a whole-foods plant-based lifestyle and how so many people had had success with it.
We had tried almost everything to lose weight and improve our health, yet it had never even occurred to us to go vegan. We thought that there was no possibility that we could stay healthy without eating meat, dairy, or eggs.
Reading every nutrition book we could get our hands eventually led us to those written by John A. McDougall, T. Colin Campbell. Joel Furhman, Caldwell Esselstyn, Neal Bernard, John Robb As we dug deeper and read the evidence, we became convinced that this was the missing link.
Why We’ve Started This Blog Before We’ve Reached Our Goals
Most people would have started a blog like this after reaching their ideal weight but we wanted you to come along for the ride. We hope to share with you our experiences and give you a glimpse of what it takes to get a healthy body.
